If you are like me, you appreciate choosing what to wear to work 'tomorrow' before you hit the hay 'tonight', yet this rarely happens since you are somewhat indecisive. When choosing in the dark which pants to wear to work today, I discovered a pair of cargo khakis that I forgot I own. At that moment I was happier than I should have been about a pair of pants I've had for 3 or 4 years. As I was thinking about this, I couldn't help but relate it to reading the Bible. Isn't it exciting when you read something in the Word that you have somewhat forgotten about.. It's like finding those pants, is it not? As if to say, "OH! I remember this! This is so cool. I love this scripture.."
Let this be an encouragement to myself to read the Bible more frequently and rediscover those hidden khakis that I love so much.

iPhone 3G Cracked Screen Repair
I saved 70 bucks today by repairing Sheena's iPhone myself. A couple weeks ago it slipped out of her purse and fell onto the driveway leaving some major cracks. I ordered a kit from eBay for $30. About half way through the repair, I was pretty nervous wondering if it would turn out ok, or if I was "up a creek..."

Opened up:

My "nervous point" (hair dryer not pictured)

After:

It turned right on and looks and works good as new!

Bye Ball!
I'd rather have my son play golf than video games any day of the week. We took advantage of the nice weather this evening by grabbing dinner and then a bucket of balls. Jeremiah was an all star. Pick something to do, if it involves balls of any sort, he'll be all about it.
I helped him tee a few off tonight. He enjoyed it. And he enjoyed watching dad smack them too, because after I would crush it over that pond down there he would yell "bye ball!!!"

That's right buddy. Just loud enough so the other golfers can hear you bragging me up....:)

Range Day
My Advantage Over Other Drivers
For the sake of admitting why I feel like I have an edge on other drivers:
When I get into my car and drive, I probably don't think like most other drivers. My mind is constantly analyzing traffic, vehicle speeds and positions, driver demographics such as age, habits, male/female, vehicle type/make/model etc and then strategize my driving accordingly. If I am getting onto the freeway, I'm not the type to slowly accelerate and force other drivers to move over for me. Likewise, I'm not a big fan of those drivers that insist I move over for them when it is their turn to "merge" onto the freeway. That's why it helps to know your car's shifting points. At what speed does it shift out of 1st when full throttle? How about 2nd? Knowing these two things helps me tremendously when it's my turn to merge, or pass, or pull out of a parking lot for that matter. I wonder if any of my blog readers can relate to any of this.

Watermelon Madness

Did I mention that we planted a garden again this year, and that Jeremiah helped and decided to play with this watermelon that we harvested as if it were a soccer ball and not a baseball because it was too heavy and that this sentence is a run-on?

I wanted to put it on a scale. I'm guessing it was in the 20-30lb range, and delicious too.

Make Yourself at Home
Flossing is to Working Out
While flossing last night, I had a thought. Flossing is like working out.
Most people don't do it, and if they do, it is very inconsistent.
It's uncomfortable, but when you do it consistently, produces wonderful results
Helps prevents bad things from happening
Plus a list of other things I'm sure, but just wanted to encourage you to work out and floss too!
That was a lame post, thanks for reading.

Don't Boil Ziploc Bags
My mother unintentionally probed me to do a little research (thx Ma!) on my previous post of ziplock omelettes. It isn't healthy, and Ziploc does not recommend it. Here's an article that tells more, if you're so inclined.
Seems there's always a price to pay for convenience...

RS
I really like these things lately. Not energy drinks, Rockstar energy drinks.

The taste is just ok, but I think it's the branding that draws me. When I crack one open, I suddenly feel like a rockstar. And when I tip it back, I think like a rockstar. :P
P.S. Mom, I know these aren't healthy. Only polite comments please... Love you. :)
P.P.S. I took and edited this from the iPhone. Man I love the things I can do with this device.

Oh Don't Forget
If you enjoy using technology to make life easier check out this site: www.ohdontforget.com
You can enter a message that you want to be reminded of on your specified date and time. The message is sent to your phone as a text message though. So unless you pay for those, it won't be helpful.
I didn't want to forget to turn off the pool pump this morning, so last night I entered a reminder at that site, and batta-bing batta-boom, I got the text right before walking out the door today. It was nice. Check it out dudes.

MN here we come! ..again
While packing last night, the J-ster climbed in and sat down in the suitcase, and then proceded to face the phone and say cheeeeeeese:

I'm pretty sure immediately afterwards I tackled him like a lion over his cub and messed up all of Mom's neatly folded clothes.
We're taking a couple days vacation for a little getaway. Jeremiah is really talking well; trying to repeat most thigs we say. Figured it'd be nice if some of his mn members can witness it too because it's so much fun!
Guess we can always Skype too...

Pebble...
Have you ever been weed-whacking and gotten hit in the face by a pebble or stone, and then wanted to take revenge on it?
That happened to me today.
