Jeremiah Meets Baby Shower
We were blessed with a baby shower by some of my colleagues at work last week. Even JJ scored some gifts. It was a BLAST! Well, about as fun as a baby shower at work could be, I suppose.
Candid shot of a happy face and curious kid:
Munchin and lunchin in the Diva Den conference room:
Gifts n goodies, doo-dads and diapers, foot lotions and secret potions.
Except for the secret potions:
aww

It's a blessing to have friends at work. I hope they will throw me a motorcycle shower in the spring.. I have the gloves. Just need the bike, helmet, and jacket.
I think they should. Harley?
Bummer, I was going to get you the gloves..
Nice of your work to do a shower.Aaaaa Jake forget the motorcycle it doesnt work with a family of 4.
I added that as a joke to my post, but to your serious comment, here is my serious reply.
A motorcycle is a toy; a relatively expensive one, an economical one, but still a toy. If resources were unlimited, and money did not matter, the principle of me buying a motorcycle would be the same as me buying a new computer, a yo-yo, a video game system, a steak dinner on my lunch break…. All of these would be for me, and “wouldn’t work with a family of four” as you put it.
I recognize priorities. That’s why you see blog posts about birthday parties for jj, family vacations to MN, vegetables from the garden, etc. versus: “Jake’s new bike” or “Jake went sky diving last weekend” or “Jake and Sheena vacationed to Hawaii leaving kids at home”
I will get a motorcycle eventually. It’s a desire in my heart, and God cares about it. He said in His word that He cares about our desires. But I also have priorities. And with the resources that he has given me, I will keep those priorities.
Also to add: from a safety/smart perspective, that will not keep me from getting on one. But that’s another debate entirely. Not for this post.
I'd give you Pastor's but I don't think he would appreciate that to much. hehehe
