The Crawler, and Love for the Crawler

A few weeks ago I remember Sheena telling me on the phone while I was at the cabin that Jeremiah sat up all by himself for (what we believe was) the first time. It was EXCITING!

Now he's crawling all over the place and pulling himself up wherever he can.

I came into the nursery after church last Wednesday and was told that he climbed the slide all by himself. So he did it again for Dad (aka, me) when I got there:

When you become a dad, you experience a new kind of love that you've never felt before. And when your child shows desire for you, well, wow.

Like this morning. I was busy making espresso and I could hear his little hands smacking the tile with each movement. I looked over my shoulder and saw that he was crawling from the living room, all the way across the kitchen tile floor with a hopeful smile that I would pick him up. Needless to say, Sheena finished making the iced lattes.

Jake, Enjoy every minute of it, they grow up so fast. I know when I was a kid my Dad worked all the time. Sports, activities I was in I wish he would have been there. That's why I stop and get involved with my kids it means alot to them and helps them grow. I help coach 2 teams, just to be with them and encourage them. I think having God in there life, and staying involved with them. Strengthens them all throughout life.
